Conservative cleanup
Quick Clean focuses on disposable clutter. There are no inflated problem counts or mystery categories designed to frighten you into acting.
Trust & safety
PlainlyDone PC is the PC utility for people who don’t trust PC utilities. That means being specific about what it does—and what it refuses to do.
Quick Clean focuses on disposable clutter. There are no inflated problem counts or mystery categories designed to frighten you into acting.
Supported PlainlyDone changes appear in History & Restore when recovery is available. Suitable storage-compression changes can be restored.
PlainlyDone does not perform broad registry-cleaning scans. It only offers to remove a specific confirmed stale Installed Apps record after backing it up.
No PlainlyDone analytics SDK, usage telemetry, advertising, or automatic crash-log upload. Local settings, history, recovery data, and logs stay on your PC.
PlainlyDone does not run permanently elevated. Windows asks for approval only when a user-requested operation needs protected access.
Hardware and driver guidance uses Windows or official vendor resources—not a questionable third-party driver database. Drivers are not silently installed.
PlainlyDone does not add a persistent background service that has to stay running after you close the app.
Storage Optimizer uses Windows XPRESS8K transparent compression for suitable apps and games. The apps remain usable.
Automated Windows safety regression testing helps guard the behaviors the product promises. No fixed test count is claimed until one is configured.
The standard
No fake urgency. No guaranteed speed claims. No permanent elevation.
